Ducoy Traceability: certified origin and quality

Trazabilidad Ducoy: origen y calidad certificados

In a world increasingly aware of the importance of what we consume, traceability has become an essential pillar in the food industry, especially in olive oil.

Knowing where what we eat comes from, how it was produced, and what steps the product has followed from its origin to our table is more than a trend: it is a necessity.

At Ducoy, we are proud to offer an extra virgin olive oil whose traceability process not only guarantees its quality, but also complete transparency with our consumers. Learn how we work.

What is traceability in olive oil?

Traceability, in simple terms, is the ability to follow the trail of a product throughout its entire production and distribution chain, from the field to your table.

In the case of olive oil, this goes beyond simply tracking its path; it is about knowing in detail every stage of the process. From the moment the olive is harvested in the olive grove, to its extraction at the mill, storage, bottling, and final distribution, every step is carefully documented so you can know the complete story of your oil.

Ducoy guarantees full product traceability

We believe that a good olive oil begins long before reaching your table. That is why every bottle of our extra virgin olive oil is the reflection of a meticulous process that begins with the selection of the best olives, grown in our olive groves with the utmost dedication.

The olives come from our olive grove, the Finca Dehesa los Silos, located in the Tierra de Barros region, in the Extremaduran town of Fuente del Maestre.

The olive grove is traditional, with olive trees of the Arbequina, Picual, and Koroneiki varieties. The farming is organic in all its practices, governed by the current European Union organic agricultural regulations. You can learn about our green commitment and the natural techniques we use on the farm for all our processes and the conservation of the ecosystem.

But we don't stop there. Every subsequent step, from harvesting to final bottling, is carefully controlled to ensure that every drop of oil retains its flavor, aroma, and nutritional properties.

Regarding the oil production process, we work throughout the year to take care of our olive trees and are present throughout the entire process, from the selection of the olive on the tree, harvesting, transport to our own mill, milling and beating, storage, and bottling. In this way, we can offer consumers a product with a guarantee of excellence.

All these are relevant details that give our extra virgin olive oil its personality. These characteristics allow it to be distinguished from other oils.

Why is traceability so important to you as a consumer?

For today's consumers, traceability is not just a matter of knowing where the olive oil comes from, but also being able to trust its authenticity.

When you buy an extra virgin olive oil, you need to know that what is in the bottle is exactly what the label promises: a high-quality oil that has been harvested and processed under rigorous standards.

More and more people are looking for oils with specific characteristics: some prefer the fruity flavor of a local olive variety, while others opt for an oil obtained through sustainable farming methods or cold extraction that preserves all its nutritional properties.

Our commitment to traceability is not only about meeting the highest quality standards, but also about providing you with complete transparency throughout the entire process from the olive hanging on the tree to the table.

Thus, when you choose Ducoy, you know you are bringing home a product that has been made with dedication, respect for the environment, and, above all, complete honesty, with the certainty that every step of its production has been carried out with the utmost respect for quality, origin, and the people who consume it.
